I have been interested in painting my whole life and after trying different media, I settled on watercolour. The fluidity and playfulness of watercolour adds a dimension that I did not encounter with other media.

My subjects are usually animals and people as I like to focus on the eyes  to express as much emotion as possible. My colour palette varies , depending on subject and mood , bright or muted tones will be used.

Occasionally I do animal portraits, and occasionally I weave two almost identical watercolours together to have a special effect.

The dimensions of my works are 15"x11" (38cmx28cm), 15"x22" (38cmx56cm),

30"x44" (76cmx112cm) and painted on 300 gm or 535 gr Oud Holland watercolour paper. I do not make prints and and all my paintings come with a lacquered seal to show the authenticity of each work.

I live half of the year in De Haan , Belgium, and the other half in Manakin, Virginia, this gives me the opportunity to participate regularly in exhibitions in both countries.
